“One active week” means the daily market price changed in only one week of the move window. A single-week jump on an otherwise flat quote can be a stale price rather than a sustained move.

How Yu-Gi-Oh! sets usually behave

Value concentrates hard: across the 487 Yu-Gi-Oh! sets we measured this on, the single top card typically holds about 13% of a set's total card value.

On average, a new Yu-Gi-Oh! set's cards worth $0.50 or more, weighted by price, are about 47% below the set's release-week level in weeks 26 to 30 (averaged over 39 to 40 of the sets released since February 8, 2024, when our price history starts, in each of weeks 26 to 30). About 30% of that drop came in the first week after release, 60% within about 5 weeks and 80% within about 11. The level was still falling over weeks 20 to 30, and week 30 is as far as we measure, so how far it falls is not known. A card's price change from one week to the next counts only when both of those prices are $0.50 or more. Single sets can land well away from that.

Counting each card's largest 4-week move relative to its set's average, across 74,293 cards, moves above the set outnumber moves below it about 1.5 to 1.
