Indices
A game-level composite read from every published set index in that game, and the set indices themselves. Each set's own index starts at 1.00 the week it enters coverage, so a set at, say, 1.50 means its tracked cards are worth 50% more than at that start.
Weekly TCGplayer market prices · 1.0 = the level in the first week shown (Feb 8, 2024) · through Sep 13, 2026
A composite of 216 published set indices for Pokémon. Read it as what a basket of every indexed Pokémon set did, each set's weight is the number of its cards that carried a TCGplayer price in two consecutive weeks. That is a count of cards, not a sum of prices. A set with 200 such cards weighs twice a set with 100, whatever those cards cost, so the sets with the most steadily priced cards set the pace and a few expensive cards do not. A collection of specific cards has its own return, which this is not. It is computed on this page from each game's published set indices (the game pages below open them) and is not itself a separate published index. Inside the composite, a set that enters coverage later joins at the composite's level that week and adds no jump; its own index still starts at 1.00. 216 sets have an index today, and 213 of them are inside this week's level (a set counts in any week in which it has at least five priced cards and at least one of them priced in two consecutive weeks; it sits out the weeks it does not); 193 counted in the first week; every week since has counted between 193 and 214, as sets entered coverage. How these numbers are made
Set prices vs 28d ago: each set's own 28-day change, averaged with the same weights as the since-start figure above over every indexed set that has a comparison. A shorter, separate read, not the cumulative return. The line under each game says how many of its indexed sets count in this week's level.
